So I promised my parents that I would give them the opportunity to choose a charity that The Streets Initiative would collect donations for this time around and I figured that since May and June are the months for Mother’s Day and Fathers Day, this would be an appropriate time. I was lucky to have them as parents and will always be appreciative of how I was raised. They undertook many sacrifices and had to endure hardships at timesin order to give myself, my brother, and my sister a good upbringing throughout the years. St. Albert Ab was a great place to grow up and still always feels like home everytime I go back. They still live in that same house we moved into waaaaay back in 1989 and interestingly enough, the house itself played a role in the Charity that was chosen this time around. That charity, called Wild North, will be receiving funds for the next two months and you can read a bit about what they are all about right here: http://www.wildnorth.ca.
