The Featured Runner for March and April is SAPPHIRE KROETSCH

Meet Sapphire, everyone! The local Physiotherapist is not only an alum of the University of Alberta, but is also a veteran of MacEwan University’s soccer team with whom she played for a couple of intense seasons. Sapphire also worked as a trainer for the U of A Golden Bears, but now the 26 year old can be seen plying her trade at The Bridge Physiotherapy on our city’s south side above the twin arenas. I recommend her if you’re seeking a solution for any sort of an injury or nagging issue that can be solved through exercise as opposed to drugs or surgery. Previously, she participated in a 5 year study called ACE that looked at improving the quality of life for cancer patients in the form of decreasing fatigue levels and increasing muscle mass through exercise and nutrition. The members of ACE saw positive results and hopefully the research will have a lasting impact on the quality of life for current and future cancer patients! The study was conducted at Wellspring Edmonton which, not coincidentally, also happens to be this period’s charity! Show your support for Sapphire and Wellspring by making a small donation, it’s very much appreciated. Thanks Sapphire and thanks Edmonton for your support!
